 God
is in the business of transforming.
In Roman's 12, Paul tells us to be
"transformed by the renewing of your mind", and later in 2 Corinthians he writes
"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s
glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which
comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit".
Is there
any one of us that couldn't do with God's transforming power? Whether it's
transforming us, setting us free from the past and making us more Christ like -
transforming our relationships with our husbands, our family, our friends and
our co-workers, or showing us how we can be partners in his transforming of the
world and community we live in... we all desperately need God to be working in
us.
Be Transformed - a special day for ladies!
So... We're holding another women's day on 28th June this year,
at St John's Church, Tunbridge Wells... called 'Be Transformed'. This time we're
doing things a little differently from our last two days,
as we've decided to go on into the evening - we have some of the men here serving us an evening meal together and then we'll end with an
evening celebration. The price for the day is £10,
including the evening meal (please bring a packed lunch). We're delighted that Lindsay Melluish, from St
Paul's Church, Ealing, has agreed to join us for the day. We'll also be welcoming
Linda Fugard from South Africa, who will be sharing with us some of the
transforming stories in the shelter she runs - and there will be the opportunity
to support the charity 'Sisters Inc'. During the day there will be the
opportunity to learn new crafts, browse the bookstall, soak in God's presence,
