Options pregnancy crisis centre provides the opportunity for those who are facing a pregnancy related crisis to talk about it in confidence. It provides a safe place … to make an informed best choice when facing an unplanned pregnancy and to receive counselling following a termination. Clients can talk through options available, the implication of their decision in the short and the long term and any related lifestyle choice issues. It is accessible to all irrespective of gender, race, religious affiliation, sexual practice and age. Our counsellors have all been trained in pregnancy crisis counselling and we are recognised by CARE Centres Network. We offer the following services, all of which are free: - Pregnancy test – this is not limited to young people nor will the same person be limited in the number of times they make use of this service
- Pregnancy crisis counselling – we will listen to you and help you make an informed decision on what to do if your pregnancy is unplanned.
- Provide general information on contraception and STIs (please note that we do not dispense contraception or test for STIs)
- Make referral appointments to GPs, Family Planning Clinic, GUM clinics if and as appropriate
- Post abortion counselling – one to one counselling for those wanting to talk through matters arising from an abortion. Those having suffered a miscarriage may also benefit from this counselling
- Provide general support for new mums
