Rev Derek G Hills, Senior Minister
Derek has been in ministry since 1971 and Tonbridge is the third church he has pastored. He is married to Alison and they have two children. Derek is a life-long Spurs supporter, enjoys DIY, gardening, walking, when time permits and looking after his grand-children. |

Rev Paul Vaswani, Assistant Minister
Paul grew up in North London and was converted to Christ at the age of seventeen. He worked for a number of years as a programmer in the textiles industry before being called into Christian ministry. Outside of family and faith, Paul's greatest love is music – the louder the better! Paul is currently responsible for overseeing the youth and children's work at TBC.

Rev Astrid Vaswani, Assistant Minister
Astrid works part time as one of our assistant ministers, responsible for Pastoral Care within the Church. Prior to joining TBC she was a Human Resources Manager before going to Moorland's Bible College. She is married to Paul and they have a young daughter. |

Barry Lock, Head of Community Services
Barry is married to Margaret and they have three children. He is a qualified Social Worker. In the early 1980's Barry pioneered a social work project jointly funded by TBC and Kent County Council. He was a senior manager in Kent Social Services before working for six years with the Oasis Trust. In 1999 he joined the full-time staff at TBC, where he and Margaret have been members for over thirty years. |

Roger Durling, Premises Manager
Roger is married to Kath, they have three grown-up children and three grandchildren. He has been Premises Manager at TBC since 2000; previously he was a production engineer and then a care assistant. He sees his work as a ministry with many facets, from unblocking loos, to welcoming guests and pastoring his team. Out of work hours he’s a keen fisherman and gardener. |

Joan Matheson, Receptionist
Joan is married to Andy and mother of three. Most of their married life has been spent in India. They returned to the UK in 2001. TBC has been her home church since 1973 and she has very much enjoyed working here part-time as Receptionist for the past three years. |

Jill Gibbs, Receptionist and Finance Assistant
Jill is married to Pete and they have three children. In 1998 she became TBC's bookkeeper. She has worked in Reception for almost a year and continues to be the Finance Assistant. She is on the Youth Leadership team and works with local children at Longmead Breakfast Club and CTBC.

Fiona Tolhurst, PA to the Senior Staff
Fiona is married to Kevin who she met at TBC. She grew up in Devon then spent the next seven years between studying in Cheltenham, and working in Canada. She moved to Tonbridge in spring 2003 and started work at TBC that Autumn where she is also on the leadership team for The Well. |

Gill Baker, Community Support Worker - Adults
Gill is one of the Community Support Workers,
working with Adults and her background is in mental health. Originally from
Croydon she is married to Charlie and they live in Weald Village with their much
loved ducks. They both have a love for Africa where they spend most of their
holidays. |

Tami Clark, Community Support Worker - Families with school-age children
Tami moved from London at the age of 14 and attended Hugh Christie School. She worked in London prior to becoming a social worker. Since leaving social services she has volunteered as a classroom assistant at Long Mead School. Tami has been married to Paul for nearly eight years and loves sport, travel and her godchildren. |

Lisa Woollett, Community Support Worker - Families with pre-school children
Lisa grew up in the local area and moved to Croydon for a short time after marrying Chris, where she worked as a midwife in a busy hospital. They moved back to Tonbridge in 2003. She has since become a mum and enjoys all the challenges and rewards this brings. |

Chris Kidd, Youth Team Leader
Chris joined the staff team in 2008. He is responsible for leading the team of
great volunteers who work with teenagers.
He married Hannah in 2004, and they have two fish. Chris likes to blog, watch West Wing,
and eat Weetabix – sometimes all at the same time! |
