If you are roughly between the ages of 18-40 there are a range of activities at TBC specifically for you: The Lounge
Lounge LunchesOn the first Sunday each month our Assistant Ministers, Paul and Astrid Vaswani host an open lunch in their home from 1pm. Astrid cooks a mouth-watering two-course meal and after lunch there's the chance to catch up and enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon. Lounge Lunches are open to anyone in their 20's and 30's (babies are welcome too!) - there's no need to book, if you feel like coming just turn up and be fed! Please email Fiona Tolhurst for more details. 20's-30's HomegroupOne of TBC's homegroups is run especially for people in the 20's and 30's. The group meets weekly on Thursday evenings, except the 2nd each month when the ladies go to the Well and the men meet separately. Please email Paul Vaswani if you are interested in joining this group. Advance weekendsAdvance is a weekend away for young adults, which is fast becoming an annual event. Why ‘Advance’? Well, we just didn’t fancy another retreat… For one weekend in April we escape to Dalesdown, in the beautiful Sussex countryside, for a time of relaxation and reflection. We have teaching, but no sermons; worship, but not just singing; plenty of space to chill out and socialise; and loads and loads of cake.
In 2007 our theme was “Susurration”, the whisper of God. We listened for
him in a number of different ways, and also explored our more artistic sides as
we worshipped together through creative writing, dance and painting. Advance 2008 "Pneum-A-ction" will took place over the weekend of 25th-27th April, and looked at the Holy Spirit in action. To find out more about Advance weekends email Rachel, Astrid or Paul if you want to find out more.

The Lounge is a cafe-style venue for young adults run in the Longmead Lounge
after the Sunday evening service on the third Sunday each month until 10pm. Sit back and catch up with your friends, getting to know new people in a
relaxed atmosphere, or even debating the evening's service. A range of
drinks, toasted sandwiches and nibbles are for sale at low prices. For more info

At the first Advance in 2006 we looked at “Life in the Fast Lane”, thinking about the pressures
that many of us live and work under, balancing careers, families, church
commitments, and still trying to have a life. Is it possible that we might find
that God is right there with us, even in the middle of our hectic schedules?
