How you can join in with the prayer life at TBC
Prayer is a key element of our church life at TBC, we believe that prayer must undergird all of our worship and activity. We have regular prayer meetings, some of which have a specific focus and others of which seek to bring to the Lord all the needs of the church, the community, our nation and the world.
Key Prayer Meetings
Church at Prayer:
Our main church prayer meeting, held at TBC at 8pm on the second Wednesday of each month.
Before the Sunday services:
We join together to pray at 9.45am and 6pm before the evening service. These are always exciting times, and we expect to hear God speak to us during these meetings.
Special Focus Prayer Meetings
Missionary prayer meeting:
On the 4th Tuesday each month at 9am at Bob Page's home, and the 5th Wednesday in a month at 8pm at TBC.
Prison Prayer meeting:
First Sunday of month (contact John Sturdy)
Prayer for the persecuted church:
(contact Roger Millman)
Special Prayer Events
We start each new year with a week of prayer, asking God to guide us for our future as a church in the upcoming year.
We believe in the power and necessity of corporate prayer and encourage all members to take part in local, regional and national prayer events.
Personal prayer opportunities
Prayer in Home-Groups, Lifeline Groups and Youth Cell Groups:
We encourage all members of small groups within the church to support each other regularly in prayer.
Telephone Prayer Chain:
We have an organised network of people who are committed to praying for particular urgent needs as they arise. Please contact the church office or Paul or Astrid Vaswani if you would like to ask the prayer chain to pray for something specific.
Prayer Ministry:
We have a trained prayer ministry team who are available to pray with you after the evening service each week
Prayer for healing:
We believe that God heals and, in accordance with James 5:14-15 (view ref), the Elders will anoint with oil and pray with anyone who wishes to seek God for healing.
For further information please feel free to contact Jan Mungeam.
Community Prayer Meeting
